What's New on the Panel
Third batch of updates, and this time it's all about the Panel: the blog takes a big leap forward, navigation gets smoother, and we now help you spot broken configs before your players do. Let's dive in.
A built-in support system
Need help? You can now open a support ticket directly from your Panel. Describe your issue, and the team replies right there; the conversation goes back and forth until it's resolved. Each ticket shows its status at a glance: open, awaiting a reply (from you or from an admin), or closed. No more bouncing between Discord and emails: everything is centralized, and you keep the full history of your exchanges.
A blog that comes alive
The Launch'it blog (the very one you're reading) just got a nice upgrade:
- Reactions: logged-in users can now react to articles with emojis (๐ โจ ๐ โค๏ธ). A simple way to tell us what you like.
- Article navigation: from any article, jump straight to the next or previous one, without going back to the list.
- Tag filters: find every article on a given topic in one click.
Navigate your modules faster
A new sidebar appears between the main menu and the page content: it lists the sections of the currently open module and lets you jump straight to the card you're looking for. No more endless scrolling on large configuration pages.
These links were already available through the command palette (Ctrl+K); they're now visible at all times, one click away.
Warnings when your config is "technically valid, but broken"
Some configuration values are accepted by the Panel but produce a broken result in practice. The Panel now warns you with clear alerts, for example:
- A background with its opacity set to 0% (invisible, in other words).
- A root folder set to anything other than "open" in File Integrity: in that case, no file can be created before launch, and everything your player configured would be wiped on every startup.
- A recommended RAM value outside the min/max bounds you defined.
All these alerts have one goal: helping you catch those traps at configuration time, not when your players start complaining.
That's it for now
As always, your feedback and ideas are more than welcome; a good part of what you've just read comes straight from your suggestions. Keep them coming!
See you soon for the next update,
~ Sky
